Sheryl Underwood, a American comedian and TV personality popular as the host of The Talk, a popular talk show on daytime television. Sheryl was born and brought up in Little Rock. Sheryl comes out of a very troubled background. She grew up caring for her younger sibling Frankie. Frankie was a victim of polio. When she was growing up it was not easy to get along between her mother and father. Sheryl says that her mother once stabbed at her father over getting too close. Sheryl became a military officer after graduating from college. But her passion was comedy. The show was named the first female winner in the Miller Lite Comedy Search, held in 1989. Her TV career started in 1992 as a actor on the HBO comedy program Def Comedy Jam. She appeared in the show Oh Drama! as the host in 2000. The present co-host on the talk talk show from the year 2011. In addition she has also played fictional roles in series such as Bulworth Nikki as well as Beauty Shop.
